Metropolis Magazine calls Juju Papers one of "Six American Design Entrepreneurs You Should Know"
We were flattered to be included among this "fresh crop (of) local talent" in Metropolis' October 2014 print edition titled "NEW TALENT". From the article:
"Gone are the days when designers struggled to find producers to manufacture their wares. Relying on solid hands-on skills and the e-commerce market, a young design studio can now strike out on its own. These six American entrepreneurs have done just that, offering handcrafted products and custom services to designers and consumers all over the country. Think of them as your local, go-to design talent."
Also included in this rock-steady crew were my old pals Graypants from Seattle, Brooklyn's Workstead, Detroit's Color & Mirror, Minneapolis' Hennepin Made, and Minden, Nevada's WFour Design.
Thanks to Metropolis for including us!

CNN's Jake Tapper, Bon Appetit, and Juju Papers. Strange bedfellows.
If you know me personally, then you know that I am a hardcore BA (Bon Appetit) fan. My buddies Jacob, Brian, and I all document and text back and forth our BA recipe successes and failures. It's one of our dreams to grace the pages of BA someday, possibly in one of those four page spreads where beautiful people eat farm to table at sunset in the country. We pretty much look and act . . . like that . . . pretty much . . .
But seriously, folks. I got close to BA fame yesterday in this funny BA interview with CNN's Jake Tapper and family. That's Juju Papers' After Chinterwink in Silver and Charcoal on Cream in the background, in a stunning dining room designed by Residents Understood in Washington, DC.
Gotta love it. BA here I come!

Not to brag, but we're basically famous: Juju Papers on HGTV'S Genevieve's Renovation
Genevieve Gorder has been a great client and supporter of Juju Papers ever since we met her in 2012. We were flattered when she chose to paper much of her new New York home in Juju Papers. Then we found out that there was going to be a reality show on HGTV about the renovation. WHAT THE?!?!?!
If you have already seen the show, then you know that Juju Papers has a starring role in many of the rooms. If you haven't seen the show, then you can check it out on iTunes.
All of the wallpaper featured in the show is Juju Papers! A View of the Woods in Bebelle's room, After Chinterwink in the master suite closet, and Salad Days in the kitchen and hallway. We're SO flattered.
We love it! The rooms look great, and Gen is awesome - worth checking out, people!
Thanks, Gen!

Cle Elum and Sisters of the Sun: New designs for 2014 Announced by Design*Sponge
So excited to present two new designs for 2014: Cle Elum and Sisters of the Sun. I was thrilled that Design*Sponge chose to announce the release!
As quoted from Design*Sponge:
Designer Avery Thatcher of Juju designed two new styles for this year’s launch: Sisters of the Sun and Cle Elum. Sisters of the Sun is a contemporary spin on a classic dot pattern. I love the way each dot feels different and lets you see a bit of Avery’s paintbrush gesture with each dot. As much as I love a clean geometric, designs like this that really show the artist’s hand and style a bit more are always my favorite.
Cle Elum is a hand-drawn pattern inspired by both the flora and fauna of the Cle Elum river area in Washington and a short story by Raymond Carver, who lived in and wrote about the Pacific Northwest. The pattern is an upbeat twist on Carver’s dark tale with fun florals, coniferous trees and hazel catkins in shiny silver and gold. I love the dark charcoal background on this style- it feels so rich and sophisticated but still has a bit of playfulness. Avery will be debuting her collection at ICFF (Booth #831), but until then, you can check out her work online right here. Thanks, Avery!
Thanks to Grace, and thanks to all of you who have been in touch to pre-order and get the jump on samples and rolls! My website's Paypal deal is up and running now, so we're all set. Thanks for your patience!
XOXOXO

How to use ONE ROLL of wallpaper: Furniture Makeovers by Barb Blair offers tips on how to use Juju for a home accents
A lot of people write to me because they love Juju, but they can't commit to wallpapering the walls either because of their renters status, or because of the expense of multiple rolls. Barb Blair offers some great alternatives to "the whole room" by adding splashes of pattern into the decor. Check out this piece that she made with Juju Papers' A View of the Woods in White. It only used one roll!

The Diner Journal!
Some of you may already know the Diner Journal, founded by the good people that brought you Diner and Marlow and Sons in Williamsburg. It is food as told by a contemporary voice that hasn't been edited to death. Anyhoo! I did some illustrations and collage for their latest issue, Number 24. The incredibly talented Tom Dean of Lostwoods Prints did the front and back cover, and I did the inside flaps along with the collage for a story titled Nonnie. Here are some of the recipes featured in this edition
