We sell our wallpaper by the single roll. A single roll of Thatcher is 27 inches wide by 15 feet long. However, we package and ship the wallpaper in 30 ft continuous double rolls whenever possible. This is because it is a better value for our customers when we package it this way. A continuous 30 ft roll of wallpaper covers significantly more wall than two single 15 ft rolls of wallpaper covers.

However, if you order a single roll or an odd number of rolls, we will cut down a double roll into a single roll and package it for you that way. For example, if you order 5 rolls of our wallpaper, you will receive two double rolls of 30 ft and one single roll of 15 ft. Five rolls packaged in this fashion will cover more wall than would five single rolls.

The price listed on the website is per single 15 ft roll ($200). A 30 ft double roll is $400.

Our papers are manufactured in the USA with responsibly-sourced fiber (all USA sourced fiber), and all suppliers adhere to one of the globally recognized forestry or chain of custody programs. These include:
– Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC)
– Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI)
– Programme for the Endorsement of Forestry Certification (PEFC)
– Canadian Standards Association

Our papers are made with elemental chlorine-free fiber.

Our paper supplier is both an ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 certified company, and creates approximately 50% of its electricity by low-impact hydroelectric generators. 100% of the mill’s short paper fiber is reclaimed and used in the agricultural industry for nutrient rich compost or animal bedding. Our paper supplier has been designated by the epa as a national performance track company.

Thatcher wallpapers are screen-printed in small batches, by hand, using hand-mixed, water-based inks. We printed on sustainably harvested coated paper, which is finished with a natural clay coating to enhance wipability and durability and to inhibit mildew growth. We are proud to manufacture in the US.

We do our best to provide a good representation of the wallpaper with every sample. We are always sure to include all colors in the pattern in every sample, but we can not guarantee which section of the wallpaper our customers will receive. Samples are 8.5" by 11", and are intended for color matching purposes. If you need a larger sample for design purposes, feel free to email us at info@thatcherstudio.com.

Thatcher are considered Class “A” in the interior wall & ceiling finish category according to the National Fire Protection Association Life Safety Code 101 when tested in accordance with NFPA 255/ASTM-E-84. This means that they are appropriate for both home and commercial use. All of our custom and commercial grade offerings also fit into this category.

We recommend that all of our clients consult with a professional paper hanger prior to installation.

One roll of our standard residential grade Thatcher wallpaper is 27” wide and 15’ long. The wallpaper arrives untrimmed, which means that it has a selvage that is removed (trimmed) during installation. We package our wallpapers in double rolls.
