Once a year, we try to highlight some designers who are making magic in nursery and child's room design. Finding a balance between playfulness and elegance is not always easy, but these designers are making it look that way!

"Children’s spaces are fast becoming a creative extension to the family home" says Nicole Rosenberg of Little Liberty Design, and her work certainly suggests that that is true.

Using our Sisters of the Sun in Gunmetal on Charcoal would be an obvious choice for a lounge, library, or adult bedroom. By bringing it into a nursery space, Nicole Rosenberg created an unexpected twist that brings everything else in the room into contrast -  creating pops of fun color, contrast and shape among a really consistently dark color scheme. It's daring while also being sophisticated and uncomplicated. In a word, modern.

Blogger Josie Barber of By Barber couldn't be cuter in this new nursery that she designed in anticipation of her baby boy on the way. Barber describes her minimalistic and monochrome design style as "rough luxe". Sounds like a perfect fit for Juju Papers, which are known for that great hi-low mix of metallic glamour and simple painterly designs.

She said of her use of Pas de Trois in Gold on Cream, "I knew I didn’t want it to be too ‘traditional’ or too colourful, so starting off with a neutral palette and a simple (yet funky) wallpaper seemed like a great place to start."

Finally, one of our favorite design and lifestyle personalities, Elsie Larson, has been sharing the inspiring story of being a new mom in her influential blog A Beautiful Mess, and we couldn't help but share daughter Nova's new playroom using one of Elsie's favorite wallpapers, Sisters of the Sun in Gold on Cream. Sisters of the Sun in Gold on Cream is a slam dunk when paired with pink and blush tones, and Elsie uses this combo frequently to achieve her signature look which she describes as "creating happiness every day through a homemade lifestyle."
