Juju Loves Ava Gene's

If you're asking us for a Portland restaurant recommendation, you probably won't get to the end of that sentence before we've blurted out: Ava Gene's! Now you can eat an amazing Italian inspired, farm-to-table meal and check out a favorite installation of our very own Parquet wallpaper in gold on charcoal. 

   

We are total fangirls of Joshua McFadden, chef at Ava Gene's, and author of the James Beard Award-winning cookbook, Six Seasons: A New Way with Vegetables. Not only do we love the food, but Ave Gene's warm atmosphere and iconic interior design has recently been updated with the help of Submarine Hospitality. 

  

 

Submarine Hospitality (also responsible for other popular Portland spots Tusk and Tope ) took to a little revamp of Ava Gene's interior and selected Juju Papers' Parquet as a featured wallpaper. 

  

 

  

Inspired by patterns of wood grain, Parquet brings geometry, organic rhythm and a painterly richness into any interior. By choosing to cover both the walls and ceiling as they did at Ava Gene's, visitors become immersed in the texture and design.
